Our Story

In the early 2000s, Tom Schmidlin named his garage brewery "Postdoc Brewing" while he completed his PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Washington. The name stayed with us, true to our science roots, and we opened to the public in 2014 in Redmond WA.  In 2024, we are grateful to include Kenmore in the Postdoc family.


We look forward to continuing to serve our Washington communities and beyond for many years to come.
